Hello foxy readers. Hope you're reading your butt off (because that'd be a cool way to get fit, right?).
The big news, the biggest news, beyond any book is...
We found canned pumpkin! So apparently the secret is to complain in my newsletter. So let's try something and see if the universe provides. If it works, I'll share...
Remember when you could buy a billion dollars at the grocery store and not even think about it? Well, it's been out of stock for months now. Ugh. How am I going to be rich without it?
Give that a little bit of energy and let's see if anything happens. LOL.
Aside from pumpkin hunting, I've been doing a lot of research for Mel's book and teasing out what is going to be an intricate plot. So last week was crime. This week was magic and poetry psychics.
Wait, I already know what you're going to ask...
What is a poetry psychic?
See how amazing my powers of perception are?
A poetry psychic is unique interactive performance that uses poetry for psychic readings. It's very interesting. I joined a session on Zoom where you pick a number and the 'psychic' (aka the performer because this is a performance not really a psychic reading) reads you the poem and you analyze it's 'message' from there.
My poem was The Man Who Gave Birth to a Panda by Idra Novey. It's about the push-pull between what you want, what you should do and what is and what's done and rare things worth saving. It gave me A LOT to think about.
Poetry readings are an interesting prism through which to think about your life. If you'd like the artist's contact information, let me know and I'll forward it to you.
I've also been reading about magic looking for plot nuggets. Which, apparently magic is real, but also incredibly boring. Wowza. I got buried in a book that looked at the science and managed to make it all very dull with graphs and numbers that were probably satanic calculus.
But yes, magic appears to be able to generate statistically relevant results. However, it's incremental at best (or the real masters aren't working with the scientists, which given how horridly boring they are, I can that see being a thing).
So I guess think harder on that billion dollar idea above because it could work??? And keep reading!
Xoxoxo

If books were pumpkins, I'd pick these...
